PLL Episode 5x05 - Miss Me x100
Clues in this Episode that Aria is A
This is the 100th Episode of Pretty Little Liars and it's an explosive one! A has been pretty quiet the last few episodes so maybe the girls are feeling like the A tormenting might be over. It's kind of a coincedence that Aria has been really preoccupied lately after killing Shana and during this time that she has been mopey and distracted, none of the girls have heard from A. In fact, one thing that is telling about Aria being is is that A has not threatened or done anything to get Aria in trouble for killing Shana. In fact, the issue was never really brought to light by anyone outside of their group at all. This doesn't sound like A. A knows everything and finally has something REALLY bad that could get Aria in trouble and there is nothing from A?? Hmmm... huge sign that Aria is A.
Aria was also wearing her black and white prison stripes again this episode At the beginning of the episode we see Aria and Ezra run into Alison on the street. The three of them talk and see Jenna Marshall returning to Rosewood. Toby then receives a phone call from Jenna (the first time he's talked to her since she moved to NYC), telling him that Shana is dead. Aria is unsettled that Jenna is back in town and wants to talk to Jenna. The girls think it is a bad idea. Aria claims she wants to see how Jenna is doing, but I'm sure she really wants to find out what Jenna knows about Shana's death. Aria shows up at Jenna's house anyway, and enters when no one answers the knock on the door. The fact that Aria just walks into the house is suspicious. How often do people just enter the house of someone they are not close with? Aria does find Jenna crying in her room. Instead of talking to her, she leaves without saying a word when Jenna senses someone is in the room and asks who it is. A big clue here is that the song playing in the background when Aria is in Jenna's house is called "Fuel to Fire". Interesting choice since we will later see Jenna's house blow up into flames. This is a sure sign that Aria is A. Later, Jenna shows up at Aria's house. She knew it was Aria in her house earlier and wanted to know why she was there. Aria tells her she wanted to apologize to Jenna for her part in blinding her, then asks Jenna to come in and tell her about Shana. This is suspicious when later in the season, after Mona is killed, she has the same conversation with Mike and asks him to tell her about the real Mona. The fact is we don't see or hear the conversation that Aria has with Jenna so we have no idea what Jenna knows about Aria or the rest of the girls'involvement in Shana's death. Aria and Ezra eat pie in this episode. There is a big clue behind the meaning of pie in this show. An this is not the first time that we have seen Aria and Ezra share pie together. I can only speculate that the clue is with the numerical value of pie = 3.14 (perhaps there is a big A clue in episode 3x14?) |

At the end of the episode, all of the liars, including Alison, are gathered at Emily's house to listen to a press release about the identity of the body buried in Alison DiLaurentis' grave. The press conference audio:
"Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, I've called this press conference because we received confirmation tonight that the name of the victim that was buried alive on the DiLaurentis property was Bethany Young. She was a 17 year old patient at the Radley Institution, and was believed to have run away from the hospital the night that Alison DiLaurentis was allegedly kidnapped. the victim's parents have been notified, and the family is requesting at this time tha tyou respect their privacy adn allow them to grieve over the loss of their loved one. There will b eno comments or questions." Right at the end of the announcement, there is a huge BOOM and the windows in Emily's house explode throwing glass all over the room and the group. They look outside and see that the Cavanaugh/Marshall house exploded and is on fire. Before Toby leaves to check on Jenna and his family, he says "A never misses" meaning that the Cavanaugh house was the intentionally blown up by A. |
|
The big clue with regards to the exlosion is that Toby is correct. A NEVER MISSES. So who is A and who blew up the Cavanaugh house? If you look back to Episode 5x2, you remember that Aria was spending alot of time online searching for news of Shana's death. While online, the camera shows us that Aria stopped to read an article about a building explosion. Then, earlier in this episode, she was actually inside the Cavanaugh/Marshall house. The clues are all there that Aria is the one who cause the explosion of the Cavanaugh hosue. Perhaps she saw something there that worried her, or Jenna said something that caused alarm, or is could have been a warning to Jenna? Regardless of the reason, Aria looks very suspicious with regard to this explosion. In the final scene, we see A in black gloves moving into a new lair/apartment. We see that A has her doll house wrapped up with several dolls, the black widow dress and veil are displayed on a mannequin, and a police scanner is on broadcasting information about the emergency crews responding to the explosion. |
