PLL Episode 5x20 - Pretty Isn't the Point
Clues in this Episode Aria is A
The episode opens with the girls searching Mike's bedroom for blood samples or any other clue that could incriminate him as being A or working with A. As they are searching, Emily says she is going to look through Mike's gym bag. Aria stops her and says that SHE will look tWhrough Mike's bag. Sure enough Aria finds a necklace that she points out to the other girls. It turns out it is a necklace that has beads that spell out a message in morse code. The message says "I'm with you". The fact that Aria is the one to insist on searching the gym bag and then finds the clue is suspicious. Could Aria have planted this necklace to throw off the girls? If I was searching a bag, I'm not sure I would immediately notice that the innocent looking beaded necklace would be such a big clue worth pointing out...
Andrew is still tutoring Aria this episode and in their first study session, Andrew quizzes Aria about the Stanford White murder trial which is often called the "trial of the century". White was murdered by Harry Kendall Thaw because Thaw was jealous of White's social position and his relationship with his wife Evelyn Nesbit. Before her marriage to Thaw, Nesbit (aged 16) and White (aged 47) had a love affair and the dynamic White although not longer her lover continued to have an effect on Evelyn. The trial is significant because it was the first time in history that the insanity defense was successfully used. This is interesting that they choose that particular case to talk about especially with the many references to Aria having mental illness. Detective Tanner did say a few episodes back that everything always seems to lead them back to Radley. Aria definitely spent some time there! The fact that Eddie Lamb disappeared right after he recognized Aria at Radley confirms it.

Aria is spending alot of time with Andrew between the tutoring and him driving her around as she stalks people. Andrew tells Aria "For a petite girl, you bring alot of chaos." and "Don't worry, I like complicated girls." Later in the episode Andrew asks Aria out on a date to go see a new movie. She accepts and he tells her "You won't be sorry. It's a thriller about a shadowy figure who knows everybody's secrets. It's wild stuff right?" These are definite clues that Andrew is more aware of A and Aria's involvement that we know. Perhaps Andrew is one of the people that Aria has had help her in her A games,..
The big question in this episode is Mona still alive? At this point I am still leaning toward yes and feel that Mike helped Mona and probably helped Mona stage the crime scene and set up the camera recordings in Mona's house. I think that Mona was very suspicious of Aria and shared alot of information about Aria with Mike. Mike is extremely angry and distrustful of Aria and I think he is trying to trap her into being revealed.
On the other hand, it is very possible that Mona is actually dead. In this case, Aria could have had her taken care of because she knew Mona was suspicious of her and was worried about how close Mona was actually getting to revealing Aria. Of, someone else interfered with A's plans and took Mona out on their own. I guess anything is possible in Rosewood.
