Hannah has had possession of Ali's diary for long enough to read through the entire contents. Although it's written in code, it looks like Hannah has learned enough to be suspicious enough of Aria to not want her to have possession of the diary. Twice during the school courtyard scene where the girls are talking about the diary with Ezra lurking, Hannah pulled the diary out of Aria's hands and it was deliberate both times.
After Aria once again steers the girls to the latest clue, the Busy Bee Inn, Hannah is visibly upset in the car. Aria is able to open right up to the story in the diary that would upset Hannah the most. Hmmm, coincidence or does Aria know that journal as well as Hannah?
The conversation in the scenes between Aria and Ezra seemed suspicious too. They seem to talk in code themselves but Aria gives Ezra all the information he needs. When Ezra snoops around Hannah's room, everyone thought he was looking for the diary, but what if the laptop was what he was after all along to see what secrets and information Hannah has stored there, and to see if there are clues to how much she learned from the diary?
